What is UNIV?

An international gathering of university students where they delve deeply into important matters relevant to the university, highlighting the spirit of service towards those most in need.

UNIV is an international gathering of students organized by FASE Fundación (https://www.fasefundacion.org/) held annually in Rome, Italy during Holy Week. The objective of UNIV is to provide a venue for university students to come together and discuss important issues surrounding a given theme for the year. Since 1968, several thousand UNIV participants have spent Holy Week in Rome, participating in various cultural encounters, conferences, and roundtable discussions. All of these activities are occasions to delve more deeply into important matters relevant to university students, highlighting particularly the spirit of service towards those who are most in need.

During the UNIV week, students experience Rome through various cultural encounters, conferences, round tables, showrooms, and concerts.

To open more opportunities for students to participate in the rich UNIV experience, a local equivalent, the UNIV Seminar Asia-Pacific (USAP) is organized by the Kalinangan Youth Foundation, Inc. (KALFI https://kalfi.org/), a non-stock, non-profit, non-government organization that aims for the holistic development of young women. Various KALFI Centers in the Philippines organize USAP activities that bring together students from different universities in the Philippines and some countries in Asia to deepen their understanding of the issues surrounding the UNIV theme for the year. These activities lead up to the culminating USAP activities during Holy Week: the USAP Youth Conference and the USAP Youth Connect seminar. Through these activities, we not only help students to grow professionally, but we also hope to inspire them to grow in civic engagement.

What is USAP?

UNIV Seminar Asia Pacific (USAP) is a multidisciplinary and collaborative learning experience for young female students from senior high schools and universities in the Philippines and neighboring countries. A variety of activities are conducted to explore a given theme. The theme for UNIV 2026 is "Building Bridges: The Art of Dialogue".
