Abstract
The friendship of J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis has enabled them to be each other’s companions, literary critics, and most importantly, catalysts for ideological and spiritual transformation. Through a bibliographical research of the writings of the two author’s literary critics, bibliographers and historical documentations of “The Inklings”, it could be concluded that the friendship of Lewis and Tolkien epitomizes an ideal friendship that the modern and individualistic world should exemplify. Tolkien and Lewis’s fellowship is a true friendship of mutual respect and trust that encompasses and reflects positively into all the important aspects of their life: the individual, the literary, the professional, the social and the spiritual.
